Thoreau a Konstytucja
W czasach Henry Davida Thoreau, zwolennicy niewolnictwa powoływali się na Konstytucję. ■Obywatelskie nieposłuszeństwo cytuje ■Daniela Webstera (1782 – 1852, nie tego od słownika),
“Ponieważ było częścią oryginalnego porozumienia, — niechże pozostanie w mocy”.
Niewolnictwo nigdy się nie złożyło na ugodę by utworzyć Unię. “Konstytucja, którą teraz przedstawiamy” — była w oczach Jerzego Waszyngtona siedmioma oryginalnymi artykułami. Karta Praw, habeas corpus, zabezpieczenie od listu imiennego, czy wymóg Wielkiej Ławy — żaden z zapisów nie ma klauzuli wykluczającej niewolników od prawnego przywileju.
Habeas corpus nie wymaga też obywatelstwa.
Konstytucja nadal ma kształt słowny jak “to import”. Niektórzy Amerykanie wspomagali rodzinę lub przyjaciół, stąd łacińskie im-porto by mówiło, sprowadzić. Rząd nie miał biznesu z właścicielami statków czy handlarzy ludźmi w Afryce.

Pisownia
Pisownia kształtu słownego defence w preambule jest dziś kojarzona z angielskim brytyjskim; defense to standardowy angielski amerykański. Wszelka pisownia aktualizacji jest jak w amerykańskim dzisiaj.
Electors czy electors
Artykuł I Dział 2.
Z dużej litery Electors oznaczać może ludzi wybranych, jak tych w Kolegium Elektorów. Aktualizacja ma electors na obywateli USA głosujących w wyborach. W czasach kiedy Konstytucja była pisana, słówka często pisano z dużej litery tylko dlatego że były rzeczownikami. Nie było wyborców z małej litery.
{“Duże litery” nie są rusycyzmem, gdyż po rosyjsku to zagławnaja bukwa, a “wielka litera” nie pasuje mi równie dobrze z angielską big letter.}
Gramatyczny przedimek
Przedimek był często frazalny. Jeżeli było “of”, ludzie wstawiali “the”.
“The death of the President”
■Poprawka 12 mówi,
… in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President.
■Carter ma jednak
… the case of removal, death, resignation;
■oryginalny pergamin pokazuje to samo.
■John Carter, drukarz, był uczniem u Benjamina Franklina.
The citizens czy citizens
Możliwie przedimek określony w Artykule IV zachęcił do Poprawki 14:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
Spojrzeć możemy na Artykuł IV Dział 2:
The citizens of each State shall be entitled to all privileges and immunities of citizens in the several States.
Przedimek określony sugerować może rodzaj lub typ ludzi. W aktualizacji Artykuł IV Dział 2 mówi,

The people and the government
Artykuł III Dział 2 mówi o stronach spraw.
… to controversies between a State and citizens of another State, between citizens of different States, between citizens of the same State claiming lands under grants of different States, and between a State, or the citizens thereof, and foreign States, citizens or subjects.
Fraza “the citizens” mówi o sytuacji gdy drugą możliwością jest “the State” — w każdym konkretnym przypadku.
The Judges and Judges
Artykuł III.
… the Judges, both of the Supreme and Inferior courts shall hold their offices during good behavior;
Artykuł VI.
… the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby.
Oczekiwaniem jednak nie może być ażeby jedynie wybrani sędziowie dobrze się sprawowali. Artykuł VI dodaje,
… all executive and judicial officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution.
Nie ma wymogu jak “all the judicial officers”, podczas gdy samo judicial officers obejmuje judges, natomiast all judges oznacza ogółem judges — a /any judge w liczbie pojedynczej — ponieważ mówiąc, all people, wszyscy ludzie, moglibyśmy też powiedzieć people, ludzie.

“Cession and acceptance”
Artykuł I Dział 8: druk Cartera by miał the acceptance, możemy jednak porównać Artykuł IV Dział 4:
